Sunningdale is located in the heart of the village of Rawdon in the north west of Leeds. There are strong links with the local community and most of the residents and staff are from the locality. It is well served by public transport and has a variety of local shops (including a cafe) within easy walking distance as well as a pub over the road!

The home is a conversion of an 18th century building which was significantly extended in 1990. The home have been recently renovated throughout. The home has 28 bedrooms some of which are suitable for couples if required. Many offer lovely views over the Aire Valley. There are 4 lounges so residents can choose where they sit, in the upstairs lounge on a clear day there is a fantastic view and you can see past Selby. The home offers a very homely experience for its residents.

The manager is Faye Welch, an qualified nurse who has many years experience running nursing homes. She is suported by a deputy, a qualified RMN (Registered Mental Nurse), to give additional depth to the dementia care, as well as an experienced, dedicated team.
