Our EMI care
Caring for people with dementia can be distressing and challenging for their family and for those whose world has become confused and unrecognisable to them. The homes provide a well structured environment which gives reassurance and stability. We aim to restore confidence, provide person centered support and help them live life free from fear.
Our EMI care builds on the nursing and other care programmes that are already in place and includes:
- a secure environment with pleasantly furnished single rooms
- individuals' own furniture in their personal space so as to promote security
- continuous supervision provided by trained nurses and carers
- involvement of the family in personal requirements and requests including life histories
- friendly group activities
